Along the Iron Curtain Trail (EuroVelo 13) – More than just an excursion

Cycle with your group along the approx. 200km long Austrian section of the Iron Curtain. The entire route of the trail stretches from Finland to the Black Sea. The border bike tour meanders through the green Waldviertel to the culinary Weinviertel and repeatedly crosses the border to the Czech Republic.

Past the Blockheide with its wide meadows and rocking stones to the hilly vineyards with romantic cellar lanes, past memorials, memorials and museums that remind of the former separation of Europe.

The cycle route has a lot to offer not only historically, but also in culinary terms. From poppy seed tents to wine cakes, from breweries to wine cellars, everything is there. Let yourself be pampered.

Nature lovers will also get their money’s worth here. The highlight here is the Thayatal National Park, which is even part of the route.
